Preservationists, developers reach compromise on Tequesta circles
Historical preservationists and the developers of a downtown Miami commercial center have apparently reached a compromise that will preserve ancient architectural finds at the site while allowing construction of the planned hotel and entertainment complex. Two glass enclosures will be erected over two circular areas of carved bedrock believed by archaeologists to be foundations of structures built by native Tequesta Indians 2,000 years ago.
