Seventeen Big Bend preservation projects recognized with awards
Preservation projects in the three-county Big Bend area were honored at a recent awards ceremony that kicked off national Historic Preservation Month in Florida. The projects spanned several years and included restoration of the Historic Capitol Dome, construction of Tallahassee's Civil Rights Heritage Walk, and rehabilitation of one of Tallahassee's oldest structures, The Columns, which is now home to the James Madison Institute.
